It had been months.
So many months.
I can feel the guilt eating at me from the inside out.
This were me, hadn't it? Things could’ve been resolved-
Things could’ve been different. All of this, every bit, could've been avoided,
Yet, it had not.
No matter how much I scrub, I still feel your remains hugging my arm. Matter that should’ve never touch flesh.
A crater in your cranium, the rifle in your grasp.
Broken mirrors behind your skull, I had only seen the person I hated most staring back.
I never wanted to let go. Your poor, poor stiffened body. Once so warm, once so lively.
Had this been punishment? Had you been doomed since the beginning? Was I simply a puzzle piece to Gods cruel, cruel anguish?
I miss seeing your face. Hearing your voice. Feeling your touch. Your face is only now a distortion to the mind. I don't remember your features.
It had been months.
And for once, under the shadow of Gods wings, you would rest.
Under the shadow of Gods wings, you would rest.
Under the shadow of Gods wings, you would rest.
Under the shadow of Gods wings, you would rest.
Under the shadow of Gods wings, you would rest.
Under the shadow of Gods wings, you would rest.
Under the shadow of Gods wings, you would rest.
Under the shadow of Gods wings, you would rest.
Under the shadow of Gods wings, you would rest.
Under the shadow of Gods wings, I will rest.
